Cultivated with passion and dedication on the hills of Cilento, this fig stands out for its light colour, sweet and pasty pulp and unmistakable notes of honey, an authentic expression of Cilento.
A fruit with a thousand year history
The cultivation of figs in Cilento has very ancient origins, and the White Fig, with its Dottato variety, is a precious legacy handed down from generation to generation. The particularly suitable climatic conditions and soil of this area have allowed us to obtain a unique product, with an unmistakable flavor and extraordinary nutritional properties.
The Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)
The Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) is a European certification that protects quality agri-food products and guarantees the geographical origin, specific characteristics and reputation of a product. Fico Bianco del Cilento DOP is a zero kilometer product, obtained exclusively from fruits grown in the Cilento area and processed according to traditional methods.

Color
The light yellow color of the peel, which turns brown after cooking, is one of the distinctive characteristics of this fruit.
Pulp
The pulp is sweet, pasty and amber yellow in color, with predominantly empty achenes.
Taste
The taste is intense, sweet and persistent, with delicate notes of honey and dried fruit.
Our figs
Fico Bianco del Cilento DOP is a versatile ingredient that lends itself to numerous preparations. It can be enjoyed fresh, dried, baked or used for the preparation of desserts, jams, marmalades and liqueurs. It is also a fundamental ingredient for the creation of some local specialties, such as the “Cilento mostacciolo”, a typical dessert of the Christmas period.
